Alright, this is my first brew, it's a "coopers sparkling ale" clone and I may have made a mistake or 2 and I was wondering if someone could help me out with my questions:
1. The recipe called for 2lbs of DME light malt extract and I accidently purchased the syrup and put that in instead. Will this ruin my beer or change it?
2. The recipe called for some cane sugar, so I used the regular granular sugar that's used in most cooking (the guy at the beer store told me it would be fine but in hindsight, I'm not so sure).
3. It's been 24 hours and I have not had any fermentation yet. Is this normal and when do I panic and buy more wyeast?
I hope someone can help me. Maybe I'm a little paranoid because it's my first brew but I really want this beer to turn out!
