I made one of those Brewer's Best kits, the English Brown Ale. Unfortunately, they put the wrong instruction sheet in the box, and I followed the hop addition times for an English Pale Ale.
Since the hops and the quantities were the same, only the timing was different, I didn't even notice until I went to a priming calculator this morning at bottling time.
The sample I pulled for the FG tastes like an E.S.B.
So, do you think I should call it an Extra Special Brown, or an English Brown Bitter?
