At the moment i have a ten gallon round igloo cooler. While that cooler has served me well i have a new 62 quart coleman extreme I want to turn into a mash tun. This will be set up for fly sparging, gravity fed from HLT to MLT to BK. One thing I want to do is automate my sparge with something along the lines of a blichman auto sparge but there goes more money out the window. It is worth noting i have a pump and I recirculate for vorlauf, transfer liquid and whirlpool with it as well. So is the auto sparge worth it or should I just continue to adjust flow rate with valves?
Help me make a new MLT decision.
