Sorry if this is posted somewhere. I'm trying to keg my first brew and I hear gas hissing out of it.

I have a pin lock corny keg. I sanitized it by running star san through it and the whole time I hear a hissing noise. Shutting off the manifold makes it go away.

Is the pin lock connector supposed to have a gasket? I took the pin lock connector off and looked, no gasket. The gaskets I have for CO2 manifolds aren't the right size to go underneat the pin lock connector. Is my lid sealed improperly? Or am I missing a gasket.

I don't want to get my beer in the keg and then be unable to seal it. Thanks!

One the keg pressurized the hissing stopped. I believe all is well, first batch of beer in 8 years in the keg. First time kegging, obviously.

Thanks anyway, guys. Cheers.:mug:

Thanks for sharing. Getting ready to keg my first batch. I read 5 PSI to seal them up. Is that what you saw?

I hit mine with 12psi.

I just realized that my corneys have no pressure release valve other than the main valve. Is that typical?
