Hi
I'm breweing beer right now, just mashing and I have just realized that the 26.5Ib of pilsner malt I had ordered is actually wheat malt (95% of my girst)!
As you can imagine, this makes mashing quite a challenge, this I will manage though. My question pertains to: How can I save this beer?
Recipe:
Volume: 13 Gallons
IBU: 65
SRM: 7.5
26.5Ib Pilsner (switched to wheat due to LHBS error)
1.1Ib CaraAmber
0.7Ib CaraAroma
2Oz Waimea @ 60min
2Oz Waimea @ 15min
2Oz Chinook @ 5min
2Oz Chinook Dryhop
Yeast: American Ale II WY 1272
Things I have available:
Yeast american Wheat WY 1010
Merkur hops
Any ideas what I can do to save this? Would it make a good beer with 1010? Comments welcome!
Units are a bit strange as I converted them from metric...
