Hey all, I live in Grand Rapids and am brand new to the home brew. Will be starting a Brewer's Best Wiezenbier kit when college let's loose for Christmas break. Found this site about a month ago and it has already been a great big help. I've been itching to get started and my time is almost here. If anyone has any suggestions on the brewing process, I'll gladly take them.:D

Welcome to HBT! :mug:
My only suggestion is to do your research before you brew. There are some good books out there and this site is loaded with information.
Let us know when you begin brewing!

Welcome to a fellow Michigan brewer. My best advice is Cleaning, Cleaning and Sanitation. If you follow that you will never have a bad brew.

Welcome from a former resident of W. Michigan (Holland).

+1 on researching while you wait to brew. Plus start stocking up on bottles - you'll need them (unless you decide to keg).

Good luck with your brewing. It is a fun hobby that can grow into madness.

Welcome fellow Michigander. Cleaning is a must and make sure that wert has plenty of oxygen before pitching that yeast.

Welcome to another Michibrewer!

My suggestion? Make sure your wort is cooled down before adding the yeast! Don't kill the yeasties by boiling them.
