Hello all,

Checking in from Afghanistan. I am deployed with the US Army and should be headed home (Ft Campbell, KY) in the next few months. It has always been an ambition of mine to brew my own beer. I sure love to drink it so I figured why not make my own and create something better than the watered down drool the sell at the local liquor store.

I am totally new to brewing so I may ask an ample amount of questions. I hereby promise to use the search feature before I ask. :)

Also, if any moderators are reading this. I fat-fingered my login name and spelled it wrong. Please change it to "Biscuits" please. Thanks.

I've got to say you came to the right place. I have brewed 8 batches to date and have only had to post one question because everytime I have a question about something I find the answer here. The people on this forum have all of the answers. It's just really unbelievable the amount of knowledge and experience here.
Good luck brewing.

Thanks for serving your country.

Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone.

I have already done some browsing around and I have to hand it to you all. Everything seems very neat and orderly on here compared to the other forums I visit. I think I made the right choice and I cannot wait to get home and get a brew started!

Welcome! I can't wait to get home and brew too. I'm a little closer to home than you are though. (about 5 small town blocks). Should probably figure my water out and print the brewsheet out and see how it will go. Daughter has Band Camp this week and since my wife is the Band Booster President, I had to volunteer to help. Hoping I can sneak a brew day in after work one of these days without being called upon to help the band.
