Brand new to homebrewing here. finally opened my first homebrew the other day, a Cannonball imperial stout from austin homebrew. it was GREAT! now im addicted to brewing beer. Plan on doing a Brown Ale recipe from Sam Calagione's extreme brewing book as my next beer.

Got to give props to the name, well done (insert some witty Gamehenge response here). And Sam's book is a great read chocked full of knowledge and some pretty good recipes. I am brewing his saison in a few weeks.

"Mr Palmer is concerned with the $1000 dollar question", HOW TO BREW BEER!?!

---John Palmer (the homebrew author) reference with ACDC bag? Anyone? Anyone? Nevermind... That was a stretch...

Just like Roger he's a crazy little kid..

Yeah. I havent really gotten into the Phish 3.0, but I was a pretty huge fan "back in the day". Amy's Farm, Arrowhead, an all that...

We have lawns for Darien Lake, so we'll see.

Nice. I haven't seen them since the return, but from what I've downloaded and heard, they are firing from all cylinders. The heyday for me was 98-00, when I could actually see tons of shows in a season. First was Austin Music Hall in '95 and last was (I think) Charlotte in '04. Arrowhead was one of the first tapes I got; great stuff.

phellow mississippian here and HUGE phan!

group brew day!

sadly, my last shows were ten years ago, but my first show was clifford ball!

From a fellow Mississippian, Welcome........ Good luck down there....... Mississippi is still the only state in the country that homebrewed beer is still illegal. (********* changed the law for wine but somehow left out beer).

and take out lazy magnolia and we get almost no craft beer either.

Enjoy Darien Lake, that should be fun. They are getting it back together slowly. I went on a 4 show run at Jones Beach, Mansfield and back to Philly a few weeks ago. Some good nights, a few great moments, but they are still a year or so away from being really tight again. They need to turn up Mike. I can't believe I have been seeing them for over 15 years now. Highlight for me was the Great Went, that was amazing.

lazy magnolia moved to louisiana. mississippi is officially the worst state ever. ha. i didnt even know it was still illegal to homebrew here.

they distribute to louisiana, but they are still located in the kiln, no?

we're still officially the worst state ever.
