I'm brand new to the tasty art of making beer and found this awesome site! Looks like a great place to gain some insight and knowledge. I have a 5 gallon batch of Pale Ale sitting in its cozy primary for about 106hours now... and I couldn't be happier.

HI!
:rockin:

Welcome from a fellow Virginian. And just do what I do: wait until the SWMBO hops in the shower to sneak a fermentor hug in. ;)

Another Virginian to our great addiction of brewing beer! Welcome to the site and get ready to find plenty of great information and tips to further your cause...

Make some good brew/wine for the SWMBO so she will encourage you to hug your fermentor!

Addiction? no no no... its a nervous condition! Its coincidence I shake when I haven't brewed in awhile. :D

Thanks for the warm welcomes!

I've added your suggestion to my daily routine, along with the extra few minutes it now takes me to 'lock up' the house at night.

Addiction or obsession? All I can think about is steps to perfect my process, maximizing brewing capacity, the next brew, beer, beer, and beer... is this normal?

Cheers to the HBT community.

Oh crap your also in Virginia Beach! So welcome neighbor! Enjoying the snow :D

I am always thinking of the next step of brewing... I'm the person buying all the kegs off craigslist so I can build my brew rig yet the wife and I live in a townhouse with no garage. We have a great brewing community in this area too so whatever you do is do not communicate with them because they will only further your ADDICTION of building, brewing, and crazy experiments with beer!

All this snow would have been great to cool down wort. Oh well.

I'm the person buying all the kegs off craigslist so I can build my brew rig yet the wife and I live in a townhouse with no garage.

I'm still putting together my equipment for 5 gallon batches, so I wont be at the 'rig' point for a while.

Experiments with beer... tell me more.

Good to know there are local homebrewers stumbling about!
