Hello all,

I am a new brewer from College Station, TX and have jumped in with both feet despite my wife’s protests. I thought myself a pretty smart guy, with a large background in microbiology, sterile technique, culturing, etc. and I have always enjoyed beer, so I figured I would just start making my own! Well… after making my first batch and doing some additional reading I have decided that I am not as omnipotent as I would like and I need help! I stumbled upon this forum looking for ways to keep my fermentation cool and found so much more! I am still full of questions, a lot of it is very n00b stuff, and I would be immensely thankful if ya’ll could help me out. Thanks!

Thanks! that would be awsome. I may wait until I keg this first batch though, if I have someone show me more than I am willing to absorb before then, I will just worry and fret over what I really cant do anything about anyways. I already have a running tally of mistakes that I made, Im ust hoping my first brew comes out drinkable :) Also, is there any kind of homebrew club or orginization here in BCS? I knew a couple people around here that used to brew, but they have moved on to other locations.

No, as a matter of fact, there's only two other people I know of here that brew. If we had a local homebrew shop I suspect that would be different.

Anyway, good luck with that first beer. I bet it'll be just fine. The offer stands whenever you're ready. I had a long-time brewer help me get started. It made all the difference in the world.

Cheers :mug:

Just made my first batch and working on my second. There is a wealth of information here. I don't know what we'd do without the internet....

Welcome aboard

Happy brewing....
