Hi, I'm Fred and live in St Albans near London.

My wife and I are enthusiastic all grain home brewers with a passion for craft beer.

We hope one day we'll be able to start our own microbrewery.

A picture of the last brewing session last Friday (elderflower and mint IPA):

Welcome to HBT! We seem to be getting more & more members from the British isles. You'll find everything you need to know right here.

Hi Fred! I'm a relatively new home brewer from the outskirts of Chicago! I started doing all grain after 2 batches. It's a very satisfying hobby and I wish I could do it way more often.
One of our local favorites, Pipeworks, just put out a mint stout. I'm still not sold on teh idea of mint in my beer but I'll try it! Update us on the outcome of that IPA. Did you use the elderflower alone as bittering like a gruit or some hops too?

I used Northern Brewer and Columbus for the bittering, I only added the elderflower and hops at 15 minutes from the end.

Hello, Fred!

Your kitchen brewery looks remarkably similar to mine! I brew 2.5 - 3 gallon batches so I can keep my brewery in the kitchen :)

Cheers!
