Hello everyone. Obligatory first post here... :mug:

I did my first brew about 10 years ago. Got a beginners kit with an extract recipe kit and proceed to make a complete mess of it LOL!. After 7 or 8 batches I packed everything away because of a move. Then about 2 years ago finally decided to unpacking the kit and start brewing again. This time I've really gotten serious with it. Moved to all grain and continue to learn and have fun with it.

This place seems pretty awesome. Tons of great posts and lot's of diy projects :rockin:

Thanks and I look forward to learning a lot and can hopefully contribute something too.

Welcome to HBT! You've come to the right place.

Read around and learn how things are done now. For instance, the secondary has become mostly obsolete and temperature control during fermentation needs attention to make good beer. Make yeast starters when using liquid yeast, and keep some of that behind for making your next starter, etc.

Oh, one more essential, if you use municipal water, stir in a 1/4 Campden tablet, per 5 gallon, to remove chlorine and chloramines instantly.
