I just got a brooklyn brew shop kit for my birthday. Been wanting to do some home brewing for a few years now and even got some books on it, but never found the time or the money. Still got to get some bottles and caps before I wanna start so I hope to have it started before the end of the year. I got the chocolate maple porter and wanted to know if anyone has used the brooklyn brew shop kit before. I like the idea it is 1 gallon and not 5 so people can brew smaller batches and meant for people in apartments like me.

Thanks and I will for sure check the place out. Im so spoiled thanks to amazon and always feel cheated when it comes to the cost of shipping.

Welcome to the board! Southern Brewing is the best that I've been to in the area.

I started out with a couple of one gallon kits. However, it wasn't long before I moved to the five gallon extract kits so I could have more flexibility with the recipes. The bad news is that a good chunk of my apartment is now filled with beer or brewing equipment.
