Hello guys,

We are a small group of friend making beers by 50L batches since two years in switzerland. We now have the goal to get a 150 L (1bbl) nano brewery.

Thanks

Tim

My brother lives in Grandvaux. I went to CH for his wedding and it was the greatest place I've ever been. The beer choices were very disappointing.

Yes, the lake region is pretty awesome.

For sure, the choices could be disappointing but it really depends were you go. There is something like 8 Times more small breweries than in 2000.

My family is originally from Appenzell. Such a beautiful country. Love me some Alpenbitter. Welcome to the forum!

Grüße aus Chicago!

I lived in SW Germany for 5 years and had the pleasure of spending time in Solothurn on business. Swiss people have great food (schlemmer-Rösti), great jazz, and a soda so fine (Rivella) that beer is *almost* unnecessary. Most people think of snow-covered alps when they hear about Switzerland; what I remember is sweltering summers in the valleys and practically zero air conditioning. The Swiss are a hardy race well suited to temperature extremes. I still have this swiss jazz song in my head that I heard once while skiing in Laax, I would give anything to hear it again, if only I knew the title or artist.

Welcome to HBT, I look forward to reading about you brewing adventures!
