Happy Sunday all,

My friends and I just brewed a brown ale on MLK day - what a great way to celebrate a great day! We're currently researching more recipes that we can brew after we bottle this current batch. A buddy of mine wants to incorporate ginger and another wants to do an IPA next (something like Heady Topper).

Alongside our copy of "How to Brew", this forum and Reddit have been helpful. I'll most likely dig through some more threads before the football games start.

And if there are brewers from Greater Boston here, let's grab a beer!

Thanks for reading, and any tips/recommendations welcome. :) Cheers

Welcome, once bitten by the home brewing bug you will enter the never-ending quest for knowledge and bigger, better equipment. You will soon grow tired of bottling and want to switch to kegs :mug:

Take my advice on ginger a little goes a long way. HT is an expensive brew to clone and more of a time investment than other recipes when you get into whirl pooling hops.

Thanks all for the well wishes and advice!

We'll be bottling next week, and will sanitize the bottles well. My buddy wants to make a ginger ale this weekend, so we'll see if that will satiate his ginger appetite.
