Hey everyone, I've been browsing the forums for years and finally signed up. (I know get with it, right??!) I'm getting back into brewing and getting my brutus built. I've been brewing out of keggles for some time and slowly gathering parts and getting my setup complete. I'm almost set, and just need to finish my bk with whirlpool setup, get one more pump and I'm ready to brew. Then comes building a stand, so its just time and money at this point....

I've got a 3 keggle system, HLT with thermometer, sight glass and ball valves with quick disconnect, MT with false bottom, ball valve and QD, using a rotating fly sparge arm with QD. My BK I'm still deciding what to do, I currently have a thermometer, ball valve and QD. Im considering adding a whirlpool connection with additional valve. Cant wait to get back to brewing this weekend after an over year long break and might do a simple pale ale to get the system calibrated with all the new gadgets I've added since getting my equip back.

Hello and welcome back to the obsession. Based on the above you have a sound plan and will be back at it in no time. A simple pale ale will be a good one to start with and give you a quick turn around so you can enjoy it sooner. :mug:

Heck yes! I certainly have the itch! I've run into a massive PITA getting all my holes cut for the new thermos I've purchased. I keep dulling step bits and the conduit punch I bought absolutely sucks.

I'm thinking of doing a 12 gal batch and using my speidel 60L fermenter that I bought over a year ago for the first time. I've never done a true yeast starter so I may go that route and go all in. Additionally, I've never used a rotating sparge arm, so it will be interesting to see the efficiency increase over using foil with a hole cut in it after vorlauf.

Welcome aboard fellow Bronco!

Just saw your other post on the Brutus 10 plans you have! Sounds like you have a great opportunity there. I was also going that way, but have switched gears and am going all in on Electric now. Just planning it all out now.

Full electric! I'm certainly going to go that route once I get into my own home and will go all out and convert my garage into a total man cave. Thats going to be exciting to see, as for my sculpture -- yeah, I'm very excited. I can't wait to have a system where I won't have to lift heavy vessels full of hot ass water around.
