I just wanted to say hi and thank this website. Seems like a great bunch of people who share in a common interest. I just started in January with mr beer which was bought by my wife. Brewed two batches and they came out pretty well. Since then i bought some real equipment and just brewed my first 5 gallon brew. The hardest part seems to be the waiting. I look forward to talking with some of you in the near future. thanks

to all the local people. where do you get your ingredients? I have been told the keystone homebrew is good. what do you think?

I like Keystone the best out of the locals but Brewmaster's Warehouse (vendor on here, brewmasterswarehouse.com) has become my LHBS. Ed has great selection, great service and great prices. I order my hops in bulk from hopsdirect.com and just got in on a local bulk grain buy organized here on HBT that can't be beat.

never been to keystone, home sweet homebrew is pretty good and is close enough to nodding head to make you have to stop, once you start brewing a lot, most definitely buy in bulk. I usually go to brew your own beer in havertown, but thats closer to me then the city drive and he's cheaper (but less selection)

West Chester checking in here...

I wsuggest Artisan Homebrew in Downingtown for anyone who lives in my direction. This is a new store that was much needed in the Chester County area.

The prices are terrible at Homesweet Homebrew compared to other places, just an FYI.
