Just bought my first kit for brewing and hoping to learn from all of you. Really excited about the possibilities....

Which kit did you buy. Maybe we can shorten the reading time. We might be able to interpret/adjust the brewing instructions to have a great beer in the bottle.
I bought the deluxe equipment kit from northern brewer. It comes with a Chinook IPA beer kit.

One of my favorites. Just bottled a Chinook that I screwed up with an over pitch of yeast. Did a second dry hop with Centennial for aroma. Tastes pretty good though after one week of conditioning and a quick chill in the freezer. (Not the recommended procedure. I became a beginner again.)

Secondary clearing vessel, sometimes called a secondary fermentor, is not necessary. Dry hop in the primary after the fermentation is finished and very little CO2 is visible in the SG sample. About day 14. I dry hop this one for seven days. Three weeks, or there abouts, clear and ready to rack to the bottling bucket.

Welcome! From Reed City!

Say, my HB club is looking to schedule a tour/homebrew experience at Bells. You are invited to attend when a date is nailed down. We need a few more people to get the attendance up to where they hope to get it.
