Luckily have two lhbs about 15 minutes from my house! Two extract batches so far. One bottled, one has a week left.

first was a small batch 2 gallon basic stout recipe. Extracts + steeping grains + bittering hops and finishing hops. Has since been primed and bottled. About 10 days left till "ready", but I'll probably wait another week after that.

Second was a five gallon extract vanilla porter from adventuresinhomebrewing. Adding the beans+whiskey into the primary tonight. Do you just open the lid up and dump it in then close the lid back up??

Not sure what I want to do next, maybe a brown ale and a belgian dark ale..

Cheers from Grand Ledge! (Just west of Lansing)

Yup, Just crack open the lid and pour em in. Seal it back up and wait some more :)

Cheers! :tank:

Hey from Detroit. AiHB is my go to LHBS too. I'm about 8 batches in.

With your porter you could throw your additions straight into the fermenter or put the stuff in a sanitized hop bag.
