the three local places I've been to are The Flying Barrel in Frederick, the Cracked Cork in Funkstown, and Homebrew 4 Less, in Chambersburg. I usually go to the place in Chambersburg. It's a little closer than the other two, it's usually pretty well stocked, and his prices seem lower than the other two places.

Yeah I haven't been to the one in Chambersburg yet. I like the one in Funkstown besides the fact that the guy that owns it is way more into wine. The one in Frederick I like alot been thinking about becoming part of the homebrew club. Where is the one in Chambersburg not to familiar with the area?

I didn't know about the other places!!! I'm from C-Burg!!! Welcome!!

The one in Funkstown is nice. I've only been in there a few times. it's a neat shop but the few things I've bought there seemed a little more expensive than the other places. I haven't been to the Barrel since they moved to their new location. In truth, I was only ever in the old place 2 or 3 times, too. I've been meaning to go check it out, though. I used to work in Frederick, but I just don't make it over that way, that much, anymore.

The place in Chambersburg is on rt 30, headed west out of town. I'm told he's been there for a while but I just found out about them, about a year ago. It would be a little further out of the way, for you, but might be worth the ride to check it out, sometime.

I don't know that it's really a "club", but he hosts a homebrew meeting on the first Saturday of every month, too. I went to my first one, a few weeks ago, and it was pretty cool.

Hey BrewMonkster! how's it going? again, it's always cool to see some local people on here. I may have seen you at the shop!
