Just found this forum and I am stoked by all of the great info.
I just hosted a party where I served my first batch of home brew. I brewed a wheat beer and got the ingredients from DeFalcos.
I tried my beer first and thought it was actually pretty good. I figured my friends would be the best judges and they all love free beer.
I chilled two cases and it all got drunk that night so I guess it did turn out good.
I am now deciding whether or not to try and duplicate my success or move on to a different style. I am leaning towards doing another wheat so if it turns out reasonably similar, then I'll have an idea about what I did right.
I also want to brew a Kolsch, but after reading up on it here, I don't have the refrigeration to ferment at 60 degrees.
