Hello everyone,

Complete newbie to the actually making of homebrew, but that's why I'm here! I love craft beer, and I have experience working in a craft beer bar in Japan. Because of this, I've done some pretty extensive networking not only within the craft beer scene, but with home brewers as well. So look for me hitting up the international threads a lot, especially ones focused on Japan.

Originally from North California, but have been living in Japan for a long while now. My hometown favorites are Sierra Nevada, Lagunitus, Anchor, and Speak Easy just to name a few.

Other than that, I'm looking forward to scouring the forum for information, getting ideas to help my plan my first brewing setup, and to start this new year with a new hobby!

Cheers.

Welcome to the site.
I will be heading your way soon and looking forward to the food.
Didn't know there was a local brewery in Yokosuka, I'll have to find it.

Welcome. This is where most of us Japan brewers hang out. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f234/home-brewing-japan-350223/
Thanks for the link. I had already subscribed to it and am reading through the vast posts as we speak.

Thanks for the welcome. As far as the food and brewery goes, I think you're referring to the above link? It mentions the cajun restaurant/craftbeer house Nawlin's, and I think someone said something about the brewery that's located on the Navy base. The only local brewery I've ever know about was Yokosuka Brewery located in the shopping mall next to the station. Though they closed down a decade ago. Was crap anyway.

Anywho, cheers and see you around!
