Hello all, I'm about to begin my first batches very soon. I bought the supplies to make a couple small 1gal. batches.
I currently live on a Marine base here, in provided quarters. Space is limited for me, so until I transfer to my next duty station, I'm going to be tinkering with small batches. I love IPAs. Well I just love hops. I like my beer like I like my women, pale and hoppy. My favorite beers are Bell's Oberon and Stone IPA.

Man, I have no idea how to read that squiggly stick writing! Haha I'm having a hard enough time trying to speak it!

Hey! Hope you like brewing! Good luck with your first batches! Will you be starting with extract or jumping straight into all-grain? Its still pretty hot for brewing at least for a few weeks in Yokosuka, but I will be starting up again pretty soon too. In the meantime I am drinking the last few bottles I have to make room.

BTW there is a Japan thread on here if you need any help finding stuff off base or just shooting the sh!t with other homebrewers in the country. Pretty helpful and enthusiastic people here (until summer hits and almost all our breweries shut down)

Hey! Thanks! I brewed a batch of IPA that's getting bottled next week. I'm already so hooked that I've ordered everything for 5 gallon batches. I'll also be converting an old cooler to a mash tun, and building a wort chiller (not sure if I'll go with immersion or counterflow)

I'll be checking out that link! Thank you!
