Or I should say "damp" lanta right now (been a rainy day in Atlanta today). Stumbled on this site while trying to figure out what equipment I needed for getting into AG. Starting today, I'm posting and looking forward to contributing to the group :mug:

Hello from Avondale. Don't complain about the rain or it will go hide again for another year.:D

Welcome:mug:

Welcome and glad to have you!

(FWIW, I do AG batches with the basic Bayou 30 quart turkey fryer setup and a Rubbermaid cooler that's been converted to an MLT, if that helps. Cheap and easy, 'cuz that's how I roll. :) )

Howdy neighbor! I'm right next door to Decatur. Any homebrew meetups around?

RE rain......oh, I'm gearing up for several trips this summer: it always rains when you try to go on a trip:D

A couple of us here have tried to meet up a few times and probably will try to again this summer. There is a local club (Covert Hops) that has many members in the are (Decatur specifically). I have been to one meeting and will probably try to go again in the future.

Oh heck yeah! Found the turkey fryer at my local Home Depot.....but a 10 gallon rubbermaid was imposible. Wound up splurging for a mash tun kit that had cooler and false bottom. It also came with another 10 gallon for fly sparging.....but after two brews already, it's warping quite a bit (since I like my sparge water hot hot hot). I think at some point I'm going to go for a stainless pot for holding the sparge water (the plastic cooler for mashing seems very good though). I'm hooked on brewing......my wallet will never recover;):D

Hello from Marietta (75 & 285)!!! Only because I'm at work right now, I live in Cartersville. Nice to see another ATLien around!

I am interested in the EABF; is there a list of which beers will be availabe there? I looked at the Dunwoody Beerfest but didn't see anything I was very interested in :).
