Hi WhosAL, Good luck on your first brew:)
My first was last August, turned out great and I was hooked!
I'll be doing my 9th tomorrow.
I'm an ex LA resident, grew up in Highland Park, went to Franklin HS. Got the F out after the Rodney King thing (20 years now).

So far all kit brews:
1- West Coast Blonde Pale Ale from Homebrew Heaven, turned out fantastic!
2- Wizard's Wheat, also from HH, I don't know how I screwed it up, but it was undrinkable.
3- Streets of London Porter, a kit from Brewcraft USA, turned out delicious, changed my mind on porters
4- Bavarian Hefeweizen from MoreBeer, I somehow screwed that one up too, barely drinkable:eek:
5- a Blonde Ale from MoreBeer, was good, but nothing to write home about
6- a premium kit from MoreBeer called Ray's Snowflake Smoked Porter, have only tasted my hydrometer samples (good!) bottle conditioning now.
7- a Fat Tire clone from Northern Brewer, also only tasted hyd. samples, in secondary till this weekend (good so far)
8- Cariblu Slobber (Moose Drool clone) from NB, in secondary also, samples tasted good!
9- Moravian Amber Ale from Austin Homebrew Supply, brewed yesterday, in primary:D
What are you brewing?

And Hammy71, thanks for the clip, fun stuff!

My wife & I got lost in E LA once with our daughter's sentra when we went out to see her graduation from Cali Culinary school. We wound up at this redneck lookin joint with a gravel parking lot trying to figure out how to get back on the highway back to SoPas. Hard to get used to the different kind of highway signes in SoCal.
Welcome to your new addiction,& this one doesn't grow in bags up in the hills...:D
