Hey all, first timer here. Just got a beginners brewing kit from Midwest Supplies for my birthday, and brewed my first batch yesterday! I've been anxiously checking my air lock, and I'm seeing a few bubbles, so hopefully that means good things are happening.
Overall, I think it went pretty well, except when I poured the wort into my bottling bucket to aerate and the spout was open! Lost a little bit on the floor, but closed it pretty quickly.
Anyway, thanks for all the good advice I've read on here, and I'm excited to join the home brewing community!
Here's my kit:

(It was half-off through Living Social)
and I'm brewing the Autumn Amber Ale. Cheers!
