Just wanted to say Hi.
I'm Morten. Living just north of Copenhagen.
Exactly two months ago I started this wonderful hobby with a couple of kit brews. Now I have moved on to AG with all the challenges and ("learning-")opportunities, and I'm loving every step of the journey!
I guess that the succes of Mikkeller and several other Danish brewers - moving from HB over microbrew and onto craft brewing - inspired me to take the leap into brewing. If they could make such great brews in the beginning I know that I (We) can do the same - probably just a matter of technique and creativity. I have no intention going pro but just an urge to make some great beers.
At the moment I'm planning both the fall and the winter beers while I wait for a summer session ale type to be ready for transfer to the secondary.
The next brew after the session ale will be a Hefeweizen - also intended to be a summer refresher. The equipment I use for all this is probably a standard BIAB setup, but I mainly focus on smaller batches (10-12 liter - 3'ish Gal?).
Thanks for a great forum / community
