This place is awesome...right now I have a welchs white grape raspberry with 2 roasted green Chile slabs..I am 2 whole days into brewing.. just realized I have some 505 vodka in the freezer followed by a somewhat bright idea to drop it into my brew..I would like to find out what people think about it. I used about 2lbs of brown sugar and a lb of reggie white granulated..

Welcome to the obsession, and hello from down south of you-I'm in carlsbad
My advice is to brew a few normal beers before you start getting wild ideas for strange brews. Personally I see no point in adding vodka other than to up the alcohol content since it's basically flavorless. If you add vodka to your first beer and it turns out to truly suck how likel are you to brew again? Again, that's my personal opinion, and that's one thing that is really great about homebrewing-you can brew whatever you want.

K...so I have had it in there about 5 days..I threw about half an orange in there with some peel 2 days ago..it has a really strange smell besides the alcohol..almost putrid or somethin..I put a tea bag in there overnight there's alcohol on top..the tea seemed to give it a flat taste..
