I'm new to this forum and the brewing in general. I've made only one batch before. It was a stout that a friend had bought me for my birthday. It turned out flat, but had a good taste. And for the same birthday, my wife got me another beer/wine kit. So now, I pretty have to brew. I stumbled across this site looking for info and ideas on growing hops. I live in CT and the hops would serve me for beer making and feeding my chickens.
Though I don't have much brewing experience, I do have quite a broad experience with beers. I have a beer bottle cap collection from all over the world, mainly Europe. I'm not a fan of major American brewers, ie. Coors, Bud, etc. I like all types of beers, as long as it has flavor. And I have recently started experimenting with different barley wines, which I'm enjoying.
Unfortunately (if you think of it that way), for New Years, I gave up drinking until St. Patty's Day. Last year I gave it up for Lent, and got really toasted on Easter, making a fool of myself. So this year, I'll at least blend in on St. Patty's Day.
So I'll probably be asking more questions (stupid one's I'm sure) than giving answers. So please have patience with me.

"Cheers!":mug:

Welcome Dave, Im down in Middlebury but work in Shelton and know the owner of the Wine and Beer Makers Cellar that resides in your town. Its not the biggest place but nice all the same!

Good to know Wade. I didn't even know there was a shop around here. I went to Maltose Express in Monroe for the first time yesterday actually. But, I'll definitely stop in this shop soon.
Thanks.
