I have brewed 20 or so batches of partial grain and 2 batches in a newly partial built pico system. My brews so far have nice results from friends and I really like local micro brew ales. I'm on the fence whether I'm a lucky by the book brewer or not. I have had brew from a few micro breweries like aLillys in Royal Oak and Michigan Brewery now folded from Williamston Mi. I really liked those beers. That is what my beer is crafted to resemble. I have had beer from three other breweries that I would not drink again if they were free. They seem flat after they hit your tongue. Two of them are famous for their food and I guess for their brewpub/restaurant combo. Anyway I think I brew fair beer. I am going to get into more tasting and more so let other experienced brewers taste my beer. I am an accomplished chef so I don't know if my food pallet carries over or I just like my style.
I hope to learn much from the forum. So far I have read John Palmers book and The Joy of home Brewing. Still, have lots to learn and have learned so much from the guys at Adventures In Home Brewing located in Taylor Mi and Ann Arbor Mi. There are at least two employees on staff that truly know how to brew at all times and just about everyone that works there is knowledgeable. They also will take as much time as needed to answer your questions.
Thanks for listening.
I have
10 gals. Amber Ale
10 gals. Belgium Triple
10 gals. Irish Red
None of which is ready to drink
