Currently, I inject steam into the mash if the temp falls and to do steps. I use a 10 quart grant to recirculate at the end of the mash to clear. Can I stick a heating element (running off 120V service) in the grant and use it like a RIMS? Or is 10 quarts of liquid too much for a 120V element for recirculating? This is for 12 gallon batches.
Thanks,
Nate

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I want to continue to utilize the steam for steps but not for holding mash temp constant.
