Heat Mat........

Hey everyone. I've seen a few posts on here about temperature. Why don't you just use a heat mat that gives you a constant temp? Am I missing something?

sure, people do that. problem is, you need some sort of temperature controller.

The one I use has a built in thermostat which keeps a constant temp and switches on when it needs and switches off when it needs. It was pretty cheap compared to the amount of hassle you can have. Invest people, invest!

If you know for sure it's going to hold, at say 65*, that would definitely work.

There's a difference between having a t-stat that sets the temp on the heater, and a t-stat that sets the temp in the thing being heated.
