That is one dark scoby. As long as you don't see mold you should be good to go. I don't see mold on it but it is a bit hard to tell as the first picture is pretty dark.

I think what you're seeing is tea on top of a dark surface. The second pic looks normal to me.
 
Thanks! The first pic came out a little dark. This is my first batch from a Scoby I was given at a brew store. It has been brewing for 19 days now.
