Tasting Notes
Very close to the orginal Headwaters, slightly more bitter.
I've brewed this beer on three separate occasions last year. I've experimented with different yeast strains and found that WLP001 works the best, Safeale05 comes in a close second. I've had a number of people messaging me about this recipe so I thought I'd share it with you all. This beer is slightly more bitter than the original, but can be toned up or down to your preference. I've seen the AA% in Citra hops shift drastically by brand, in this recipe I use Citra rated @ 10% Alpha Acid.

Ingredients:
17lbs U.S 2-Row
3lbs Crystal 40?
1lb Carapils
1tbsp Irishmoss 10mins left in boil

Hops:
60min - 1oz Citra
45min - .5oz Citra
30min - .5oz Citra
15min - .5oz Citra
5min - 1oz Citra
Dry-hop -2oz Citra per 5 gallons

WLP001 or Safeale05 yeast. Primary fermentation usually lasts 10 days or until FG is 1.011. Transfer to Secondary and Dry-hop each 5 gallons with 2oz of Citra hops. Bottle after 10-14 days in the Secondary.

I don't have any pictures of this beer right now, I drank the last one 5 months ago. I have a 1lb of Citra in the freezer so I'll definitely be brewing this one again soon. Hopefully I'll have a picture up sometime before June.

This looks really good! What's the OG your shooting for on this? Gotta love the citra
