I'm a beginner brewer and have my first all grain brew in my 30L plastic fermenter as of yesterday. My worry is that my wort is only 11l and it is leaving a lot of headspace.. Ive done a bit of reading and can't seem to find a definitive answer on the effects of such a large headspace. I'm mostly curious to know if:
A) the batch won't ferment properly
B) I could get unwanted flavours in my finished beer / carbonation issues
and most importantly
C) will I still see my airlock bubble? Should I still see signs of fermentation pre-72hrs of pitching my us-safale 05 yeast?
Here is a picture of my fermenter:
Also the gravity of my wort was recorded at 1.049
Thanks if you can help!
