Just an observation...
What are some HBT memes?

Meme:
The term "meme" (/mi?m/), coined and popularized in 1976[1] by the biologist Richard Dawkins, refers to a "unit of cultural information" which can propagate from one mind to another in a manner analogous to genes (i.e., the units of genetic information).

Persitent memes:
1) The 123 method
2) EAC
3) SWMBO
4) Apfelwein

Here is a more detailed definition of meme, if you need it:

Subthemes or Synchronicity:
Returning to brewing after 10 years (several threads on this).
Asphixiation by CO2 - two or three references this week.

Well, of the three examples ollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllo gave, only "EAC" truly originated with HBT. I don't see anything in the definition which indicates that the origin of the idea must come from here; we inherited it from our reading of Papa Charlie, and we pass it on to n00bs who come here.

Not posted as frequently and I personally haven't seen it in a while, but how about:
IB4TL (in before the lock).

I always read IB4TL as "in before thread lock", but means the same thing.

EAC is definitely from here, and is probably the one seen most often.

For the love of God (or whatever floats your boat), what the hell does EAC stand for. I must have been away that month. (damn lack of 3 letter search)

If apfelwein counts, then Cheesefood's Caramel Cream Ale seems like a worthy addition.

along the same lines as Aluminum v Stainless.... "Which is better, liquid or dry yeast?"

+1
