I was just reading my copy of Wired Magazine from April 2015 and there is an article on culturing local bacteria and yeast for brewing.
(For those who have never read it, Wired is not a brewing magazine, but a magazine on how technology affects science, design, politics, entertainment, pop culture, etc.)
What's really cool is that Home Brew Talk got a mention in the article. The couple of paragraphs where it was mentioned are quite entertaining, and had me laughing and going "yup, that's us!"
The article is available on wired.com for anyone interested.
