I've been reading this site for a while, but recently signed up.
There is lots of good info here, and I hope I use it all.

I am currently getting set up for partial grain brewing, and starting with 3 gal batches. Since I am the only one in my family who drinks beer, 3 gal. would be just right.

I first learned to like beer in 1995 when I was stationed in Germany. Erdinger Wiesbrau was my favorite. When I returned to the U.S., I found several micro brew beers that I liked.
Now, I found some guys at work who brew their own, and they are helping me get started. They also told me about this site.

So, wish me luck, and happy brewing everyone.

P.S. I also dabble in graphic design, so if anyone needs help with beer labels, just pm me.

Thanks for the welcome.

I think I'm gonna stick with 3 gallon batches due to very limited space. I don't have room for 50 bottles of beer.

All of the graphics I do are made using GIMP. If Photoshop is out of your reach (like mine), GIMP is the next best thing.

There are several tutorial sites for GIMP, and they get you into making cool stuff right away. Also, there are sites with brushes and plugins.

I will whip up some samples and post them here soon.

Thanks.

Here is a real quick sample:

With more time, it would look better.
