Just saw this yesterday with a buddy of mine. I really liked it, it's classic Taratino, in my opinion. It delivers what he does best - tension, poetic dialog, great actors, and a whole lotta blood and n-bombs.

Anyone else seen it? What did you think?

Haven't seen it yet, but I'm down for any QT flick. He doesn't always hit the mark, but does so often enough and strong enough to make it worth taking the chance. PF might be my wife's most favorite film. Maybe we should make it a date night and check it out.

I like QT movies but that pos was the worst movie I have ever seen

Still excited. I thrive on bad movies! :D

Google "Cosmos: War of the Planets". You can find it to view for free. After watching that turd, you might have a fresh outlook on this one.

I do recognize that QT has a "Love Him or Hate Him" reputation.

I watched an hour of it a few weeks ago. I would have watched the whole thing, but that sucker is long. I'll finish it though, I thought it was pretty interesting.

My youngest boy (18) did finish it and liked it a lot. Cast is great.

Go for it! That was the first one of his movies I did not like.

I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. It's like reservoir dogs and django had a baby and raised it on the game "clue"

I can understand why people might not like it. It's 90 percent dialogue. For me the dialogue is what I like most about QT flicks so I really dug the film. My only complaint is I feel it was a bit long which might discourage me for multiple viewings.

I saw it and though it was good. I watch it in two sittings though and I hate doing that, it seems you lose all the momentum.

I like how he channeled the old western vibe with some of the music and screen shots. I'm a sucker for old terrible westerns.

I won't watch it out of principle due to Tarantino's recent anti-police rants. Don't think I'm alone in that sentiment as it's made less than half of what it was projected to do.

the BigHair and I enjoyed it. Walton Goggins is outstanding, as are Kurt Russell & Tim Roth plus I just loved Jennifer Jason Leigh's character.

yeah, kind of slow. really didn't have to be 3 freaking hours. QT needs a new editor

the music was by Ennio Morricone, who did soundtracks for Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns, including the iconic theme to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

we had talked about his anti-police comments and always come down on the side of free speech. we may not agree with what he says, but defend his right to say it. if we boycotted every entertainer for the stupid **** he/she says, we wouldn't have any entertainment

their actions are another story. there are several celebrities who are treasonous or pedophiles or rapists and we will not spend any of our money or our time on those people.

QT movies are at the top of my "if I channel surf and see one on, I'll watch it" lists. Love Pulp Fiction, love Reservoir Dogs, but am thinking Jackie Brown is the better movie the more I watch it, mostly because of Pam Grier and Robert Forster

Def. not my favorite Quentin movie, but it was good. Despite being only in that one setting, I felt the characters and dialogue made the film seem shorter then it was. I also didn't fully expect everything to go down like it did. Good twists.

The next day I watched Bone Tomahawk, Kurt Russell kills it in Western movies.

I finished this movie last night. Kurt Russell owned this movie. Actually, the whole cast was excellent.

I liked this movie a lot. The twist in the middle was great. Ultraviolence was expected QT level and I dig it. I liked the middle chapter of the movie where they go back and reveal the situation.

<--- Fan since gunsmoke

actually I started watching gunsmoke long after it ended but it was pretty trippy seeing him in it for the first time.

now yer datin yerself.

My family watched that and Bonanza back in the day. We had a B/W tv with wheels that rolled around. Heh.

If you guys like modern westerns, 3:10 to Yuma was pretty good. Also love that one 10 or so years ago with the ailing Doc Holiday... what was that? Lots of young stars in that one.

Slow West is a pretty good one and new. I'm happy to see more westerns coming out.

Although I just rewatched High Noon the other day and I'd say its tough to compete with classics like that.

I liked it quite a bit. I think it lands right in the middle for me in terms of Tarrantino movies. Better than the Grindhouse stuff, Four Rooms and Kill Bill, but not as good as Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Basterds or Django.

That's a great one! High Plains Drifter too. Another oldy is Treasure of the Sierra Madre. Always loved that one, though it's not really a western in locale, more of a southwestern. I'm a big Bogart fan though.

Good movie but tough to sit through in a theater, way too long. I would definitely recommend to wait until it comes out on DVD for those on the fence about seeing it.

We saw it in a theater with reclining seats & craft beer

But I had to remind the concessionaire if he's gonna charge me $9 for a popcorn he'd better fill that ****er to overflowing

Haha. Last couple of times I went to the movies, I got the large "refillable" bucket and just asked for the refill right now (sharing with son). Both times they didn't blink an eye and gave it to me in a large cardboard carrier. Saves me from having to leave the movie in the middle.
