Hi
I just bought one of Spikes Conical and added a yeast catcher on the bottom,
for easy dumping and harvesting ,my question is when I go to harvest it do I just dump in in a clean jar, do I need to add in clean water or just go with the
what I dumped ..

I pressure can a mason jar with like a half inch of wAter in it , and I'll get rid of the first cup or 2 of slurry, and then dump into the jars, just fill them. 3/4 full. Throw them out after a couple if weeks if u havnt used them

you don't have to add any water, just seal it and store. unless it's a rare yeast i don't store yeast for very long but i have used 8 month old yeast right out of the jar without a problem.
