Have to admit, I never would have thought of this one. Went to the Winter Brew fest in Columbus last night and tried two of them. One was very smooth, and it was hard to believe it was not regular root beer. The wife even liked that one, and she typically does not drink root beer. It was made by Small Town Brewery. I just researched it, and it is 10% ABV!!! How...it tasted like a really good normal root beer.
I'd love to try this one on draft...
The second one was from Spindoktor, and it was 8% ABV. Some heat at the end, but the alcohol was very well concealed for that ABV, although not as well as the Small Town Brewery offering. Not something I would want all the time, but something very different for a change of pace.
