Hey All!

Just a general post about the new year of brewing ahead of us. My buddy and I are having our second annual "Brew Year's Day" tomorrow where we spend the first day of the new year brewing up some tasty treats. We've got an IPA and a Belgian Dubbel on the schedule.

What's everyone else cooking up as their first batch of 2015? Any techniques you are looking to build on?

I did a Brew Year's Eve last year, but I don't have anything planned this time around. Though, my one brewing resolution is to brew more in the coming year.

Man, I wish I could brew tomorrow, especially since I was planning to brew this weekend and now both days are predicting bad weather so I likely won't be able to brew this weekend. The mother-in-law's birthday is tomorrow so we have a 1pm lunch/dinner/I dunno what get together. Anyhow, next up is a re-brew (second time) of my "Most Triumphant Coconut Porter". The best beer I've ever brewed and I want it back on tap asap! This year I am going into the new year finally adjusting my mash pH with lactic acid. Working out awesome so far. So the new year brings even better beers than I've brewed prior. That's something to look forward to! Also have a new Monster Mill coming, upgrade from my worn out Barley Crusher. Happy New Year everyone!!!!

happy brew year homebrew talk!! I too am brewing a Belgian Dubbel on the first day of the new year. My New Years resolution is to brew once a month if I'm lucky and I am looking to go all grain this year.

I was actively brewing at the stroke of midnight! (This is only because I got started later than I intended on New Year's Eve, but so it goes.)
So I guess my last batch of 2014 and my first batch of 2015 are one and the same, and they're a California common.
