hand pumps

has anyone used a hand pump to dispense there beer from there 5 gallon kegs i am thinking about buying one of these from midwest just wont to no if they are any good for a cheap beer dispenser

Are you talking "college frat" hand pump, or "British pub" hand pump?

Both will work, but both need attention to deal with the whole non co2 despensing issue.

you are referring to a "cheap beer dispenser" so I'm assuming you mean a party keggerator hand pump/tap

Those hand pumps work good for parties, but are not going to hold the beer for any amount of time. If you want to put a keg on tap and drink it over a 3 week period, you're most likely going to want to get a CO2 tank & regulator.

from what i seen on this subject about the hand pumps i think i am going with c02 going to order the set up this weekend
