Hello all. Just started brewing about 2 months ago. My first batch was a Bock and I missed the step calling for a simple syrup to be made and pitched the sugar directly into the fermenter before bottling. :( Beer tastes alright, though some bottles foam to nothing and others are flat...

Oh well, all in learning, and my Fiancee really seems to like it as well. I am making here a Vanilla Cream Ale right now, and I don't plan on making that mistake again.

I have been lurking for a while and just finished reading through EdWort's Beer Hut post. That place looks awesome! Can't wait to meet everyone, and share some good beer!

If anyone else hangs their hat in SE Houston let me know. I still have a few bottles of flat beer left. :cross:
 
Thanks all. :) The Vanilla gets bottled this weekend. Hopefully I have enough of the Amber to carry me until it is done. The Air lock stopped bubbling on my carboy over a week ago, but the sample had just a hint of vanilla, and I wanted more flavor, so I've just been letting it sit. I can't wait to try it, and my fiancee has been drooling over the carboy. (It was her turn to pick the recipe.)
