Well, I racked my current batch of Cooper's Bitter from my 6 gallon Better Bottle to my 5 gallon one using the spigot and a piece of hose jammed in the tap, and the bloody thing was gurgling like mad. I hope the batch will still be ok, but I would like to know if anyone has any recommendations. I reckon I need something that will fit onto the spigot a little better.

First off, you said "a piece of hose jammed in the tap". Aren't there fittings and hoses that are specially made for the better bottle setup? Until you have the fittings and hoses that are specially made for the better bottle taps, may I recommend just using the traditional racking/siphon method?

Your batch is probably fine...hopefully, there won't be too much oxygenation.

Yeah, I guess I'll have to look into getting the proper fittings. Is there anywhere online where you can order them easily? None of the sites that are linked from the BB site seem to be very easy to navigate.

I sure hope my beer will be ok. It's my first full-size batch. I'll have the stuff I bottled immediately for comparison I suppose.
