I was brewing using the various Picabrew kits but with them going bankrupt I gave all my equipment away. I decided to buy Guiness kegs. I found a nice new tap and still have my kegerator. My question is do I need to chill the beer line going to the pump? Kegerator is about three or four feet from the pump. Is it necessary to do this? A little research is pointing my towards a glycol line chiller but these are expensive. I will be using the beer gas so looking forward to pulling a few pints.

Thought about that after I posted. I meant the beer towers. I have cask taps which I’m pretty sure we used to call pumps back in the home country. Sorry about that.

So the taps are a few feet away from the kegerator? You'll need to cool the line or pour everything that's hot in the line out as foam on your first pour.

I have a tower that came out of a commercial bar. It has a manifold for glycol, however, I feed it with a bucket of water in the kegerator and pond pumps hooked to a temp probe. That may work in your situation. I would try it before investing in a gylcol solution just for this.
