I have to agree on a new mill. I do eBIAB and WOW... i had horrible eff before... now high 80s, one thing I learned is now you WILL get stuck mashes without either rice hulls or increasing the gap a bit... i started at 20 which was a bit too low... now at 25 much better...

I'm assuming you mean you have flow problems with your recirculation system. Stuck mashes are not an issue, regardless of mill gap setting, for those of us who don't recirculate.

Well , before I got the mill i've never had one after 20 something batches. But the first one I ground a bit too fine, almost flour, and it def plugged up the basket... I stirred in some rice hulls and that helped. After that ive back off a bit on the gap and now its perfect. I get 85+ eff where before i was in the 60s. Its amazing how much more extraction you get when you grind it a bit...

I do single kettle, recirculating mash, no sparge, eBIAB. It sounds like you do, too. Rice hulls helped me a little, but what really worked for me was getting rid of the basket, and using only a bag and a very high flow false bottom. I no longer use hulls and I no longer even think about flow problems. They just don't happen anymore.
