Well, I'm a Spanish living in Shanghai. I began this hobby two years ago mainly because Chinese beer gives such headaches and imported beer tends to be expensive. I really never liked beer, until I tried proper beer.
I just did 2 1 gallon batches of extract, and as here hardware is really cheap, I jumped to all grain. Still improving and just beginning to enjoy IPAs.
Well, that's me!

Welcome. I live in Korea. Ditto on the horrid domestic product (though we are getting improved access to expensive imports). The beer bar is low so don't be afraid to get your feet wet with all-grain.

欢迎! Welcome to HBT! I'm in Wuhan, but get out to Shanghai a couple times a year to see my buddy do comedy. Have you hooked up with any other homebrewers in Shanghai? There are quite a few expat homebrewers there, and probably a healthy local homebrew community as well. Wuhan's not quite there, sadly. We have a few scattered foreigners homebrewing and a small Chinese homebrew club, but we're growing.

Hi all you Asian Expats!
I tried to find Homebrew people, but haven't seen any activity on those group pages or anything. Lot's of the info are quite old and as I don't know Americans/Australians who seem to be more used to homebrewing. I think that Mike (He sells things) has some kind of club, but I don't really know...

WELCOME!! It's great to have input from brewers outside the continental United States! Thanks for coming by and cheers! There's a lot of people here who can answer questions about anything home brewing. Good luck with your brews!!!!
