Hey guys! The name is Ben and I'm a seasoned Kombucha'er and newbie beer brewer. I can't read enough about this stuff!

Greetings Scoby, and welcome. I'm sure you can find whatever your need to get you started homebrewing here.

Never tried any Kombucha. I just know it's sime kind of fermented tea. Is there alcohol in it? How does it taste compared to regualr tea? Might be fun to try. I know there is a section on this site for it. I'll have to search aroung for a basic primer on the process.

Cool! Hey Cincy! Yeah it's pretty easy to make, and has a short turn around (7 - 10 days) and the probiotic properties of it are great for digestion.

There is some alcohol in it, but it shouldn't ever really get higher than about 0.5%. Contrary to that though, one of the things that led me to this forum was interest in making kombucha wine, which utilizes a second, longer ferment with champagne yeast and can go from 5 - 14%.
