After years of consuming pints of Guinness, frequenting the aisles of local liquor stores for german and craft beers, attending beer festivals and discovering great beer bars in NYC and Philly, I decided to get into home brewing. I was inspired by talking to Dave Engbers when my gf and I attended a Founders Brewery dinner at the South Philly Tap Room. We started home brewing about 3 months ago and really enjoy the whole process, especially enjoying the finished result!

Funny you should use that title. I just spoke to a guy up your way and he told me last Friday night he met Bruce Springsteen at a bar. Said he drove up on his motorcycle, alone, and sat at the bar and had a few drinks. Got his picture with him. Said he left before it got crowded.

Hello! Do you know where that was?

After all of my years living in the area and hearing stories of friends run into him or bartenders saying "Bruce sat right there last night" I've bumped into him a few times in the last year and a half. Most recently, in July in Red Bank on my bday!

The second time I ran into him, he took a picture w me and I said that Id buy him a beer the next time I saw him. I'm sure he didn't remember, but I made good on my promise. Later, he bought a round for the bar (maybe a dozen people?) and also wished me a happy birthday. He left when it started filling in. I guess being a celebrity, you have to adjust your public habits? Anyhow, hes really nice and I heard hes quite approachable when hes not with his family.

I might remember if you said it but not off the top of my head.

.....he said the place was either on or close to a boardwalk because Bruce took a walk on it. He also said there was a band doing a sound check.
